Lighthouse Project - Youth Activity Worker *2 positions available

 

START DATE:                  November 4, 2024

 

END DATE:                     March 28, 2025 (with a possible extension)

 

Reports To:                    Lighthouse Project Coordinator

 

Hours:                           Casual - approximately 3 hours/week

 

Hourly Salary:                $20.00

 

Language Requirement:  English

 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervises youth participants, equipment and facilities relative to assigned activities.
• Conducts recreational activities as assigned.
• Acts as a resource to youth.
• Assists in training/development of youth leaders and volunteers.
• Prepares facility for leisure programs.
• Works evenings and weekends as required.
• Operates within the City of Winnipeg Community Services Department safety policies, guidelines and ensures all activities are conducted within these guidelines.
• Completes and submits reports as required by the Lighthouses Program Coordinator.
• Attends training/orientation sessions relevant to the position.
• Performs other related duties as required.
