1.0 FTE Permanent - Band, Jazz Band Teacher - Grades 9-12

• Ability to teach in French is an asset.  

BAND 

The successful candidate should; 

• Hold a degree in Music Education
• Be comfortable modelling basic playing technique on all band instruments
• Have taken courses in jazz pedagogy
• Be able to communicate with an ensemble using appropriate conducting gestures
• Be familiar with concert and jazz band repertoire
• Be familiar with the current Manitoba Music Curricula, K-8 and 9-12
• Demonstrate willingness to collaborate with colleagues both in the school and across the division on projects and initiatives
